Sunday Night Announcements from Ms Gentry:

• All students will be taking their quarter benchmark tests in Math and Reading on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
  
  
  Good luck to our track teams this week. They will compete against Clemmons and Meadowlark on Wednesday afternoon. The meet will take place at Parkland High School starting at 3 pm.
  
  
  Friday is the last day of the third quarter.  All students will be on Spring Break from March 28 - April 5. SEMS will be closed during Spring Break. All students and staff will return to school on Monday, April 6.  Then report cards will be distributed on April 15.
  
  
  Thanks to all of our students, staff, and families for a wonderful third quarter!
•  The report card distribution date has been pushed back one week. Therefore, all teacher grades and verification reports are due by Tuesday, April 7, at 3:00pm.  Then the report card distribution will take place on Wednesday, April 15. This is an early release day, we will report back to homebase just a few minutes early for students to receive their report cards before they go home.

Ms Gentry's Sunday night messages:

·       The PTSA Chicken Pie and Baked Spaghetti order pickup will be on Monday from 2:00 - 6:00pm in our multi-purpose room. 

·       Good luck to our basketball teams this week. On Tuesday, our 7th grade teams will play at home against Kernersville Middle starting at 3pm. Then our 8th grade teams will travel to Kernersville Middle for the Kernersville Cup games starting at 6:00pm on Tuesday night. We strongly encourage those of you who wish to attend the Kernersville Cup games to arrive early.  We are expecting a large crowd and many will be turned away at the door due to the small capacity of the KMS gym.   (cancelled due to snow day)

·       Then on Thursday, we will have our makeup games against Northwest Middle.  The 8th grade teams will play at home starting at 3pm and the 7th grade teams will travel to Northwest.  (cancelled due to snow day)

·       Core and Encore progress reports will go home with students this Wednesday. 

·       Students, please remember to bring in your Boxtops to your home base teachers by this Wednesday.  

·       The 7th grade social will take place this Friday from 2-4pm.  All 7th grade students will receive a copy of the permission slip when they return to school on Monday from your home base teachers.  7th graders wishing to attend must have their permission slip and money turned in by Friday. The 8th grade social that was cancelled last week has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13. 

·       Join us for the Spring Arts Festival on Thursday, March 5.  We are still looking for those interested in having a booth at the arts and crafts show. In addition, we will have our Book Fair Family Night, a visiting author presentation, music performances, face painting, and much more. Admission is free!
