February 2014 Newsletter

Some General Announcements:

Project Brotherly Love collections are taking place during the month of February. This organization was founded by two of our former SEMS students, Cy and Maddy Fogleman.    We will be collecting baby items for infants who leave Forsyth Hospital’s Neonatal unit.   Each home base teacher has a list of items that we are collecting.  We are also collecting monetary donations.  

Chorus benefit Concert:  SEMS Chorus will perform at Glenn High School on Tuesday March 11th at 7:00 PM.  Entrance fee of $5.00 to benefit the Savannah Williams fund.  Come on out for this good cause!

Atkins will be hosting a two-week STEM camp this summer for rising 8th grade students from July 7-10 and 14-17. This opportunity is for our current seventh grade students. The last count for Boxtops will take place on Feb. 12^th so be sure to send in all your Box tops before then.   This is an on-going project so be sure to keep collecting them for our next year’s count. Remember the top home base collectors  on each grade will be rewarded with a pizza party.

Thursday: Jaguar Pride Day (Kernersville Cup!!!)

Friday: Mustache Day

Please promote this week to your students and encourage all to participate! Staff are encouraged to participate as well!
