May 2014

General Announcements:
  • Yearbooks are still on sale for students and staff through May 14th.  The cost is $28.00 and can be purchased through the SEMS website. The order number for our school is 20451.

  • All students received a proctor letter in the April 23rd Wednesday folders.  We are in need of proctors for testing in June.  Proctors serve as assistants to our teachers during testing sessions.  If you, a family member, or community member could volunteer as a proctor, please fill out the proctor interest sheet and return back to the school.  We certainly appreciate any assistance from our community! Please contact the main office with any questions.
  • Fifteen of our students have qualified for the FCCLA (Family, Careers, and Community Leaders of America) national conference and competition in Texas this summer! Their goal is to raise $14,000 to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity. The club is raising funds by selling products from Thirty-One Gifts. All profits from this fundraiser are being donated to the club.

There are three ways to purchase:

    1) You can shop online:  http://www.mythirtyone.com/shop/catalog.aspx?eventId=E4526714&from=DIRECTLINK
    2) You can visit Mrs. Stewart's Thirty-One website:  www.mythirtyone.com/abs and click on the "My Parties" tab, then on the SEMS FCCLA fundraiser.
    3) You can order directly from Mrs. Hatch, Mrs. Jenny Watson, or Mrs. Stewart.

Orders will be accepted through May 23.  We appreciate your support! Thanks to Mrs. Hatch and Mrs. Watson for their dedicated efforts in sponsoring this club.
